Italy leads in soccer and the environment

Italy is not just a world soccer power. The Azzurri ("blue" in Italian referring to their national team colors) now plan to develop the world's first solar power plant in Sicily.The project, named Archimedes, will combine solar power with energy created by gas. The plant is designed to produce 5 megawatts of electricity, the amount needed for about 4,500 families.
